Holy crap, I’m already a huge fan of 1980’s music, and I’m constantly looking for obscure 80’s bands. I’ve hit the jackpot ladies and gents! Give it a good listen, dancing like it’s 1982 is mandatory. 

The song is “Don’t Go” by Yazoo from their debut album “Upstairs at Eric’s”

Giving the whole album a listen and I’m only on the 4th song. 

Being a big fan of their album “Brothers” I am very impressed with how the album is playing through. With the first three song being nice rockers, and going into a nice slow ballad “Little Black Submarines” Holy Crap it just picked up, picking up a major Hendrix Vibe on the guitar. And I’m loving it!

Definitely a one of a kind performance. Such a brilliant voice. 

I think any day is a good day to show you guys a new track from River City Extension! One of my ALL time favourite bands. This is a cover song they did called “New York City Hotel Blues” 

Foster the People is an odd band for me. I remember listening to their album “Torches and not liking it because after a while the lead singer’s voice got a bit annoying. However, Foster the People, taken in portions is a very well mixed and great sounding band.

The following is a live performance of their smash single “Pumped Up Kicks” on Letterman. The house genre kicking in towards the end is what makes this a stellar track. 

An epic electronic song that just gets anybody in the mood to just kick a tree down or accomplish something, definitely a brilliant hit.

I’m am back from un-announced and un-expected New Years Break! 2012 will be an amazing year for music, I can feel it! Mumford & Sons are due an album and I think La Roux owes us one as well!
